First of all, let me start by saying a happy new year to you all.
Is it just me or is the world happy with producing more and more double standards? Can one not question things like the validity of anything? Can I not voice my beliefs without being called a bigot or hypocrite of some sorts? Free speech is all I hear but when the Christian gets up to raise his or her voice to proclaim all that is true according to history and a standard set and passed down long before anyone of us was even conceived, they are met with abuse.
Let me be the first to say that your free speech is an illusion brought on by a sound ideology but marred by grey, blue and even purple lines because as most know life is never just black and white.
I will be the one to say that people target Christians for a reason. They know a true believer isn’t going to act out but even the believer is human too. No one dares say anything to the Muslim because of their deep-rooted Islamophobia. I use these two examples because I am a Christian and often times Muslims and Christians are the ones on the streets doing various “outreaches”. There are differences in beliefs but none the less each has space to practice the free speech illusion.
Now, let’s take this in another direction. There’s one thing we should never believe is an illusion and that is that God exists. Surprise, surprise, I believe in God. The God of the Bible to be exact and that bible says in 1st Peter 3 verse 15 to always be ready to give a defence for your faith but there are just some truths in life we cannot deny and God is one.
Everyone believes in God or should I say ‘a god of some kind.’ We tend to replace the Almighty with other things. Did you not know that anything you prioritize over God becomes your god? Deuteronomy 5 verse 7 says you shall have no other gods before me. Hey, guess what we’re all guilty. There goes another one of God’s commandments, down the drain but don’t count yourself out yet God is still able to move in your life.
Yes God still saves. He moves and speaks even in 2019. He is shouting over the noise of liberalism, and over the sound of religion saying come into a relationship with me. He is especially speaking over your insults to the one standing on the corner proclaiming Christ Crucified and resurrected!
God’s existence goes without saying. Creation testifies of Him but as the bible says in Romans 1 verse 25 “they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the creator, Who is forever praised. Amen.”
This is exactly what the Israelites did when Moses went up to speak with God. They made their golden calf and bowed down to it (Exodus 32 verse 4). We have been replacing truth with our lies for centuries. This relativism that is reproduced causes more and more confusion. Wake up! Turn your hearts from these false gods who neither save nor restore.
How long will you stick your head in the sand and forget that your butt is exposed? This is exactly how many people live and when time’s up it’s too late. We don’t see air but you breathe it and yet you need to proof of God. Don’t let death be the beginning of your believing for as someone once said there are no unbelievers in hell. Why because now they know there is a God but for them, it’s too late.
